When teaching a child to play guitar a teacher needs to act in a slightly different way to when they teach adult students.
The first lesson should be as much about convincing the child that he or she is capable of learning to play the guitar and there is no better way to do this than to have them play real music in time to a backing track by the end of the very first lesson.
